Gangsta Rap x Dubstep
This sh*t is the future. Some dubstep gives the adrenaline + edge of a Dead Prez / NWA beat and some parlays the epic + cinematic feel of a classic Just Blaze production. Things have come a long way since the first (disappointingly mediocre) mainstream attempt by Snoop Dogg. Shouts to The Cashmere Agency who last year came out with the groundbreaking Dubstep LA mixtape. And shouts to whoever put together this year's Wu-Tang Meets Dubstep album.
Enjoy these fine mp3 examples:
"Knuckle Up (Matt U RMX)" - Wu-Tang ft. Raekwon, Pimp C + Icewater
"Pencil/MyPiano/Firehouse (Soroka RMX)" - Wu-Tang ft. GZA, Masta Killa, RZA, Ghostface Killah & Ka
"Drive By" - U-N-I ft. Theo Martins + Curt@ins
"D.O.A. (Chase & Status RMX)" - Jay-Z

Land Of The Kings!!
Who said the music video was a dying art form? Well it won't be if artists like Kanye and U-N-I have anything to say about it. Apparently I missed this one the first time around, but oh well. I'm impressed how these guys always have the freshest vids. On a completely different vibe from their other recent (but equally excellent) video, Pulp Fiction, here they come with a wild trip to da beach! I'm gonna rock this one hard to try and keep the summer alive.
And if you're really diggin the steez, scoop up the Land Of The Kings gear here.
