Gangsta Rap x Dubstep
This sh*t is the future. Some dubstep gives the adrenaline + edge of a Dead Prez / NWA beat and some parlays the epic + cinematic feel of a classic Just Blaze production. Things have come a long way since the first (disappointingly mediocre) mainstream attempt by Snoop Dogg. Shouts to The Cashmere Agency who last year came out with the groundbreaking Dubstep LA mixtape. And shouts to whoever put together this year's Wu-Tang Meets Dubstep album.
Enjoy these fine mp3 examples:
"Knuckle Up (Matt U RMX)" - Wu-Tang ft. Raekwon, Pimp C + Icewater
"Pencil/MyPiano/Firehouse (Soroka RMX)" - Wu-Tang ft. GZA, Masta Killa, RZA, Ghostface Killah & Ka
"Drive By" - U-N-I ft. Theo Martins + Curt@ins
"D.O.A. (Chase & Status RMX)" - Jay-Z

Two new club joints
Two treats for you today. The first is a blend I did...IGAF is obviously very dated, but I wanted to spice this up a bit because its still a must-play at the club. This is just a simple blend of The E.N.D. Album Version plus Weezy's freestyle on No Ceilings. Download here or stream below. The second is a (unreleased!?!?!) track that already got remixed. How he even had it in the first place is a mystery to me, but shouts to DJ Pres.

4 New Mixtapes! WILD FIRE on the way!

By this weekend, I will be releasing my new project: the WILD FIRE mixtape
In preparation, I'm blastin y'all off with some of the new mixtapes I've been rockin' lately:
Drake x DJ Noodles - Ready To Fly [download]
This is a blendtape, of many different Drizzy joints, mostly from So Far Gone, but also including Forever. I know what you're thinking...blends = lame. But please check this one out. The instrumentals are themed / chosen for a reason, and all of the songs seem to have an awesome energy to them. Whether you've bought into Drake yet, pick this up.
Beatnick & K-Salaam - Never Can Say Goodbye [download]
Amazingly soulful, yet hip & current remixers revitalizing hits from the likes of Michael Jackson, Marvin Gaye & Stevie Wonder. If you've ever been to one of my gigs, you've definitely heard one of these joints in the early hours. Download now.
Dubstep LA - Embrace The Renaissance Vol. 1 [download]
Mainly-West-Coast-MCs, rhymin on top of some sick dubstep from international producers like Chase & Status. Some crazy joints on here. If you're not down with dubstep yet, get familiar! (c) clintonsparks
Jay-Z x Dilla - What If Dilla Produced The Blueprint [download]
Pretty self explanatory. Someone mixed some dope Dilla instrumentals under the Blueprint Acapella album. Very interesting concept, because lots of these Dilla beats surpass the Timbo + Kanye beats that ended up making the album.
Enjoy!!

They go hard...
I'm proud to say I hopped on "Losin It" very, very early, before even most DJs heard it. Since then I've been waiting patiently for more material but apparently Akon is worryin about himself and not pushin these boys they way he should be!! These dudes got talent, whether it be writing for someone else, singing, or even rapping... Look for an album hopefully soon, but in the meantime enjoy this solid ass mixtape.
